Day, On Earth

Day, On Earth: help

Questions, ideas, or a sentence that read wrong? Write to hello@dayonearth.app. A screenshot helps.

Why a sentence instead of numbers?

Because that's how people talk about the weather. The day is described in its parts, morning to evening, with one practical line underneath. The numbers are still there, below the strip.

Where does the weather come from?

From Apple Weather (WeatherKit). Severe-weather warnings come from your country's official weather service, named on the warning with a link to its details.

Why does my widget show only numbers?

Widgets show the day's numbers for free. The one-time unlock puts the full sentence in every widget, on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen. If a severe-weather warning is active, every widget shows it, unlocked or not.

I bought the unlock but don't see it

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple ID you bought it with. Family Sharing is on, so your family can use it too.

The app doesn't know where I am

Location may be off for Day, On Earth: open the iPhone's Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Day, On Earth, and choose "While Using the App". Or pick a city in the app's Settings instead.

Celsius or Fahrenheit, 12 or 24 hours?

The app follows your iPhone's region and clock settings. You can choose °C or °F in the app's Settings.

Does the app collect anything about me?

No. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your location is rounded to about 2 km and used only to get your forecast. The full policy is at dayonearth.app/privacy.

A sentence sounded wrong

Tell us the day, the place (a city is enough) and the sentence. Every sentence is chosen from a hand-reviewed set, and a line that reads wrong is removed so it never comes back.
